Welcome to a different kind of bookkeeping course. One that teaches through story, practice, and plain language.
Instead of dry definitions or generic examples, you’ll follow a relatable scenario throughout the course: Morgan is starting a small candle business, and their autistic friend Alex is a bookkeeper. Each lesson begins with a real problem Morgan runs into, and together, Morgan and Alex walk through the solution step by step.
You’ll learn by following their conversations, seeing how they solve things together, and then practicing alongside them in every lesson.
This is bookkeeping taught through scenarios, not lectures. It’s designed for learners who need clarity, visuals, repetition, and support. (The visuals are not included in this testing phase)
By the end of this 12-module course, you’ll be able to:
Understand the foundations of bookkeeping, including the accounting equation, debits and credits, and the structure of a chart of accounts
Track business transactions accurately using journals, ledgers, T-accounts, and trial balances
Apply timing rules like accruals, deferrals, and prepaids to match income and expenses to the correct periods
Set up and evaluate bookkeeping systems from spreadsheets to software, and choose the one that works best for your needs and brain
Handle real-world scenarios like taking preorders, managing invoices, tracking inventory, and dealing with refunds or payment processors
Generate and interpret basic financial reports, including the Profit & Loss Statement and Balance Sheet
Establish regular bookkeeping routines, whether weekly, monthly, or seasonally
Understand tax basics for small businesses, including deductible expenses and what to prepare for tax time
Know when to DIY and when to ask for help, including how to work with a bookkeeper, accountant, or tax pro
Avoid common mistakes like duplicate entries, cash-account confusion, and underreporting income
Adapt bookkeeping systems for neurodivergent thinking styles, energy levels, and executive function needs
Build confidence and self-trust by using bookkeeping as a tool to support your decision-making, creativity, and sustainability as a business owner
This course is built for neurodiverse and visual learners, with features that support different ways of thinking:
Whether you have ADHD, autism, anxiety, or just prefer learning through context, this course is structured to help you feel grounded and supported at every step.
Each module includes several short, focused lessons that follow this rhythm:
You won’t just memorize terms, you’ll learn by applying concepts to real business situations.
To get started, all you need is:
We’ll teach you the core concepts first so that you can use them in any system you choose.
This course assumes zero bookkeeping knowledge. If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed or left behind in traditional financial education, this course is different.
You’ll build skills step-by-step by working through the same challenges Morgan faces, learning as they learn. You’ll be reminded often that confusion is part of learning — and that repetition, reflection, and support will help it all click.
This isn’t just a course about math or rules. It’s a course about clarity, confidence, and reclaiming your relationship with money.
You’ll learn by solving real problems alongside Morgan and Alex, and you’ll come away with skills you can use for life.
Let’s begin together!
I really appreciate the outline of what to expect. It gives me a lot to look forward to.
I just completed the Intuit Book keeping course and am hopeful that this will be more accessible! That was all conceptual mainly and assumes a lot of previous knowledge. Thank you for this and I am super excited.
This actually makes me excited about bookkeeping!
